Appeared on Earth 156 million years ago, Ceratosaurus was one of the wildest carnivores of its time. This rugged and powerful dinosaur could measure up to 20 feet long, 10 feet tall and weigh around 1700 pounds. Of solitary nature he rarely hunted in packs, preferring small groups of two, and used his forelegs to capture his prey. The species disappeared 144 million years ago following the appearance of a formidable predator: the Allosaurus.
